Lucky Cat Productions was founded in Guatemala in 2017 as Valerie Andrews’ final project in order to graduate from her BA in Liberal Arts. She has teamed up with various Guatemalan directors like Diana Paola Alvarado and Guillermo Ramírez, and Argentinian Diego Beares to bring productions to alternative spaces and into Guatemala’s National Theatre.
We have also produced our first short film called “Sarro” which premiered in Guatemala’s Festival Ícaro in 2020.
Now based in the UK, we are focused on telling the stories of underrepresented groups especially the stories of the Latinx community.
