Faithful is Valerie’s first short film production in the UK. She has joined Fraser Coull and his production company Silly Wee Films in the telling of this amazing Scottish folklore story.
The story follows Vaila, a brave 13 year old girl who ventures into the scary woods in the Outer Hebrides to find the mythical Cù-Sìth, a fairy dog that can open a portal to the Fairy World. Vaila hopes to find the dog so that she can right a wrong from her past and bring her family back together.
This project was fully funded by a crowdfunding where we managed to raise around 15k in funds in order to make our vision a reality.
Recently, Faithful won Best Screenplay at the British Short Film Awards and we will be traveling to Los Angeles to participate in Wondercon 2025!
